Corporate Functions includes the Group’s non-banking activities and employs more than 600 people. These functions are carried out by specialists with expertise across all business units, and include Communications, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Information Security, Internal Audit, Legal, Organisation & Digital, Risk and Tax departments.
The Finance Officer works under a closer supervision of Head of Finance Europe and usually works closely with a Finance Manager who guide him/her in his/her daily tasks.
The scope of the role is to be responsible for accounting and finance as well as the tax and local regulatory reporting of the different entities we oversee.
The chosen candidate will be in charge of our UK bank and our two German management companies.
Your role
- Keep the accounts of the entities assigned.
- Manage financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management.
- Implement efficient processes and controls to optimize operational efficiency and accuracy. Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Carry out a monthly analysis of account variations and put performance indicators (KPIs) in place to produce reliable financial data to ensure sound decision-making.
- Corporate tax and VAT declaration.
- Local regulatory reporting.
- Contribute to accounting and tax regulatory watches.
- Provide assistance with accounting issues (German GAAP, Lux Gaap, Spanish GAAP, French GAAP and IFRS – depending on the entities) and related tax implications, where applicable.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audit.
Your profile
Qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Finance or Economics.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in accounting and taxation.
Specific knowledge:
- Sound understanding of the full cycle of dependencies from payables/receivables, closing, tax and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of VAT and corporate income tax.
- Very good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Language skills:
- Written and spoken fluency in French and English.
- Spanish would be considered a plus.
